Gaige gives dates 1-15 Sept. 1894; Feenstra Kuiper and Di Felice give 3-15 Sept. 1894. The Chess Monthly of Oct. 1894 says (p.35) that the Congress started on 1 Sep. 1894, and (p.36) that play started on 3 Sep. 1894. |
