Event data |
Name: 1st Reichschach Tournament |
Place: Aachen |
Start date: 17 Sep. 1938 |
End date: 1 Oct. 1938 |
|
Notes: |
Adam withdrew after the 8th round due to illness and Lehamann withdrew after the 11th round. Which games they forfeited is not stated, however, so they all count against them as lost games here, though they were not played, which causes some inaccuracy in the ratings. Di Felice has 'Lehmann, Heinz Gerhard' here, but the Deutsche Schachzeitung of 1938 (p.292) has 'Lehmann-Berlin' and Alan McGowan (personal communication) suggests that it was probably R. Lehmann, of Berlin, and not Heinz Gerhard Lehmann, who was still young and had not moved to Berlin yet at the time of this tournament. |
