Event data |
Name: 3rd General Government Tournament |
Place: Krakow and Warsaw and Lublin |
Start date: 11 Oct. 1942 |
End date: 24 Oct. 1942 |
|
Notes: |
Di Felice has 'Weil, Wolfgang' here, as does Taylor Kingston (p.215), while Skinner and Verhoeven have 'H Weil'. The Deutsche Schachblätter of 1942 (p.163) has 'Dr. Weil (Herbert)'. Alan McGowan tells me (personal communication) that it was indeed Dr. Herbert Weil, though some other sources were confused and had 'Dr. Wolfgang Weil'. |
