Event table notes

Event data
Name: Augsburg Tournament
Place: Augsburg
Start date: 25 Sep. 1946
End date: 6 Oct. 1946

Notes:
Skema played only 8 games, winning against Endzelīns, Rankis, and Driebergs, drawing Arlauskas, Krūmiņš, Krautheim, and Huber, and losing to Tröger. Di Felice has 'Skema, Leo' here, but this is an error for Kazys Škėma, deriving from the Augsburg 1946 tournament book. Di Felice also has 'Krumins, Edgars' here, but it was Alfrēds Krūmiņš. Edgars Krūmiņš disappeared in 1940. Furthermore, Di Felice, citing ChessBase has the crosstable entries badly garbled. The crosstables of Palekis and Kasimovas, the Deutscher Schachbund website, and Latvju Domas are for the most part consistent with each other, and I assume correct, except that Latvju Domas has a draw between Skema and Schmitt and no game between Skema and Krautheim, and indicates that Schmitt and Huber each forfeited seven games. However, the games that are claimed there not to have been played contradict the published games, so I will assume that Palekis and Kasimovas and the Deutscher Schachbund website have the correct crosstable.
