According to the Norddeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung of 28 May 1899, the New Style dates of the tournament were 23-30 Apr. 1899 (which is 11-18 Apr. 1899 Old Style). Gaige and Di Felice indicate that R. Betins beat Rosenkrantz in the play-off but do not indicate the score of the play-off. The Norddeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung indicates that there was a single game. |
