Tidskrift För Schack of May 1933 (p.95) gives only the results of the top 6, and notes that Nyholm still had one unfinished game, which if he won would put him in a tie for second place, but we don't know the outcome of this game, so I can't include it for rating purposes. Tidskrift För Schack of Mar. 2001 (p.163) gives scores out of 11 points for the top 2 players, suggesting a 12-player single-round all-play-all tournament. The 1931 Stockholm Championship was a Swiss-style event, but the 1932 and 1934 championships were both all-play-all, so I am guessing that this one was also. Holmgren lists seven other players, saying that their scores and places are not known: A. Dahlqvist, Nils Johansson, Harry Jakobsson, Oskar Sjömark, T. Eklöf, Leonard Lindberg, and Kristian Sköld. That would make a total of 13 players, but after the fourth round, Tidskrift för Schack (Mar. 1933, p.51) gives the participation list without Harry Jakobsson, so presumably he withdrew from the tournament. |
