| Only partial results available. Forster gives only the result of Burn's first round game against Fisher, as well as the final of the main knockout tournament between Burn and Skipworth, and the final of the consolation tournament (normally a knockout of the losers of the first round of the main tournament), between Fisher and Cook. However, the final game between Burn and Skipworth (won by Burn) counted both for the main first-class tournament as well as for the handicap tournament, and I cannot rate a single game twice, so it is not included again here. The Westminster Papers say that the winner was 'Brown' with Skipworth second. Forster gives the dates as 'ca. 1-5 August 1876'. |
