| The total scores given by Forster add up to 27, instead of 28 as they should for a full 8-player single-round all-play-all tournament. One game was presumably not played, but we don't know which. I will guess (rather arbitrarily) that the unplayed game was between Collins and Skipworth, and if this is wrong, there will be a small inaccuracy. Forster says only that Gunston beat Lister in the tie-break. I presume that this was a single game and that Gunston gave Lister knight odds, as appropriate for the classes to which they were assigned in the tournament. |
