The winners in each round are named, but not who played who, though it is of course clear that Preti played Lequesne in the final. The other 14 players were Prince Galitzin, Acloque, Binghman, Boiron, Buccheister, Cartini, Chapelle, Delannoy, Gossip, Mortimer, Quentin, Soldi, Turgenev, and Vialay. They were probably single-game rounds, exclusive of draws; the final went for 3 games only because the first 2 were draws. |
