Notes: |
We only have the statement by Walker that Wilson won many games against de la Bourdonnais giving odds of the Knight (Palamède 15 Jun. 1842, p.320). In Bell's Life in London and the Chess player's Chronicle, he only says that Wilson was giving de la Bourdonnais the Knight, without saying that he won many games. I record this as a soft result of 2-0 for Wilson. Walker gives the year as 1816 in La Palamède in 1842 and in Bell's Life in London in Nov. 1843, but gives the year as 1815 in the Chess Player's Chronicle in 1843. |
