| I do not know whether or not this was a formal match. Comments by G. Walker on a game in Bell's Life in London (8 Mar. 1835) suggest that the game was between these two players: 'We congratulate Mr. M---s on his improvement. The great Leviathan of the deep cannot give him the Kt.' |
