| Part of an 8-game match at odds of half a Knight, i.e., every other game at Knight odds. The Knight odds games are reported separately here. The results of the Knight odds games and even games are not given separately for both matches. However, the total result for the first match was +5-2=1 for Kolisch, and +3-1=0 for the second. On the other hand, the result of the even games over both matches was +4-2=1 for Kolisch, which implies that the result of the Knight odds games was +4-1=0 for Kolisch. I am guessing at a plausible breakdown across the four half-matches. Zavatarelli, in the Quarterly for Chess History, has 'Fraser, James Cunningham' in error. |
