| Part of a match in which Löwenthal gave odds of 'half a Knight', i.e., odds of a Knight in every second game. The final result of the match, as given in the 10 Mar. 1861 issue of the Era (p.15) was +5-3=0 for Löwenthal. How this was broken down between the odds games and the even games does not matter for rating purposes, but I will guess that Löwenthal won all 4 even games and won 1 out of 4 games giving Knight odds. |
