Notes: |
Part of a 5 game match at varying odds. No odds specified by Feenstra Kuiper, Di Felice, Spinrad, Sarah or La Grande Storia degli Scacchi. Metzner indicates that these were games at varying odds and gives the reference to Le Palamède. Reported in the 15 Nov. 1842 issue of Le Palamède, but could have been played earlier. The other four games have not been rated as they were not 'ordinary' odds games, but rather one player gave up the queen's rook for some number of additional pawns. These types of odds games I have decided not to rate. |
