Biographical data
Name: Svenson, Constantin
   Also known as: K.A. Svenson
Born: 12 Nov. 1871
Died: 15 Aug. 1932

Notes:
Gaige has 'K.A. Svenson' at Kiev 1911, citing Shakhmaty 1911, p.24. This is almost certainly Constantin Svenson, also sometimes K. Svenson, who lived in Kiev until 1920 or so, before moving to Wiesbaden, where he lived by 1928 at least (the Wiesbadener Bade-Blatt of 15 Aug. 1928 lists 'Swenson, Wiesbaden' as a participant in the Pokal Tournament). None of my other sources give the middle initial 'A', however, so I am not sure of its validity. Gaige (in Chess Personalia) gives date of birth as 12-11-1872; Phila Historica (Mar. 2022, p.344) gives 12-11-1871. Brother of Woldemar Svenson, who lived in Riga. Constantin seems also to have been in Riga at times (e.g. in 1893 as noted in Der Sammler of 23 Dec. 1893, p.8). Thanks to Alan McGowan for finding most of these references.
