   | Died: 3 Mar. 1904 | | |
   | Notes: |
   | A player named Reynolds played for the Stamford Institution in 1856. Was this the same Reynolds who played at the City of London Club in 1873-1874? Gaige, in Chess Personalia, lists a 'Reynolds, Rev. Walter', born Nottingham 1851, died Liverpool 1909. Could this be the Reynolds of the City Club in the 1870s? John Townsend gives a list of new members of the London Club in 1834, from the record books of that club, including a 'W. Reynolds' and a 'Fredk. Reynolds'. | | | |
