Biographical data |
Name: Palmer, Lee W. |
Born: 1892 |
Died: |
|
Notes: |
I am guessing that the L.W. Palmer who played in San Diego in 1913 and 1916 is the Lee W. Palmer of Syracuse, New York, active in New York State chess events of the 1920s. The link is strongly suggested by the marriage announcement in the San Francisco Call of 12 May 1914 of a 'Lee W. Palmer' of Los Angeles, age 21, to Velvie M. Davis of San Diego, age 19. Palmer's age at marriage puts his birth year in 1892 or 1893. Thanks to Walter Chan for this information. |
