Biographical data
Name: Czach, Alfred Paul
Born: 22 Jan. 1904
Died: 6 Nov. 1967

Notes:
Gaige has 'Tschach' and Di Felice has both 'Tschach' and 'Czach', which appear to be different spellings of the name of Alfred Czach, as given by Alan McGowan in his biography of Karl Richter. Frei Schach! of Oct. 1929 has the spelling 'Czach'. Gaige and Di Felice have 'Tschach' in the International Workers Congress tournament in Leningrad in 1929, and the 20 Aug. 1929 issue of 64 indicates that this player was from Germany. Thanks to Walter Chan for making this identification. Full name and birth and death dates from official records sent by McGowan.
