Notes:
The ten players who scored at least 2 points in the first three rounds went on to play the fourth round. However, none of the reports found mention the result of the final round game between Buz and Richards. The New York Times of 23 Feb. 1895 (p.6) does say that the winners in the final round were Sobernheim, Lipschütz, and Lagleben. It is odd that it does not mention Napier, though Hilbert says that Napier won his final round game against Price. Buz could certainly not have won his final round game against Richards or his score would have equalled Sobernheim's, who won first prize. If Buz and Richards drew, Buz would have 3 points, and if Buz lost then Richards would have 3 points, so one of the two of them should have equalled the score of Roething, Lipschütz, Langleben, and Napier. However, Davies says that Lipschütz shared 2nd to 5th place, which does not allow room for Buz or Richards. So another possibility is that this game was never played. I will assume the latter.
