Name: Berlin Championship |
Place: Berlin |
Start date: 2 Oct. 1919 |
End date: 17 Dec. 1919 |

Notes: |
The Deutsche Schachzeitung of 1919 (p.264) wrongly says it was the championship of the Berliner Schachgesellschaft. It was the Berlin Championship (Meisterschaft) for 1920. Di Felice has 'Wagner, Alexander' here, but Alan McGowan (personal communitcation) suggests that it was more likely Alfred Wagner. The Deutsche Schachzeitung of 1919 also gives the top scores, but says that Plönnigs got 9.5 points, whereas the crosstable given in Deutsches Wochenschach of 11 Jan. 1920 (p.11) shows that he scored 10 points. |
