Notes: |
Gaige gives result of J.W. Baird's game with Tompkins as 1?-1?; Gilberg and Di Felice give 0-1. Gaige gives result of Vorrath's game with Sanders as 0?-0?; Gilberg and Di Felice indicate that it was not played (and counted as 0-0). Gaige and Di Felice indicate that Bloch defaulted to Gedalia and that Bloch's games against de Visser and Vorrath were not played and scored as 0-0. Gilberg makes it clear that none of these 3 games was played and says that in the scoring for prizes, one point was actually deducted from the scores of D.G. Baird and Ettlinger, rather than one point added to the score of Gedalia. However, the official scoring has no bearing on the rating calculations, for which unplayed games are simply not counted. |
