Notes: |
Gaige has 'Hartwig' here; Di Felice has 'Hartewig, Emil Johann'. The Münchener Schachzeitung of 12 Jan. 1924, which lists the players in the upcoming tournament, has a young player named 'Hartwig', who had recently moved to Munich from Berlin, so not Emil Johann Hartewig, who was much older and from Plauen, Saxony, but W. Hartwig. The Münchener Neueste Nachrichten of 16 Mar. 1924 (p.22) gives the results, though it includes an 'L. Schmitt' with a score of 2.5, in addition to the 11 players here, which is inconsistent with all the other information (scores out of 10, total of the 11 scores = 55, correct for a single-round 11-player all-play-all tournament). |
