| Brüderschaft and the British Chess Magazine have 'Dr. Lasker' at this event. Gaige gives 'B.(?) Lasker' and Di Felice gives 'Lasker, Berthold'. The Aug.-Sept. issue of the British Chess Magazine says that the tournament was to start Aug. 15. The 27 Aug. 1887 issue of Brüderschaft gives the date of the last round as 20 Aug. 1887. Kirdorf's games against Cordel was unfinished and therefore forfeited by Kirdorf, as were his games against Harmonist, Caro, and Lasker. These forfeits are indicated in Brüderschaft, but not be Gaige or Di Felice. |
