Event table notes

Event data
Name: Cosmopolitan Club - Staten Island Club Match
Place: New York
Start date: 11 Mar. 1898
End date: 11 Mar. 1898

Notes:
The American Chess Magazine of Mar. 1898 (p.576) says that 'A game between Koehler and Hodges in the first round remains unfinished' but then the first round results list their game clearly as a win for Hodges. Perhaps it was adjudicated, or perhaps they were playing a second game that remained unfinished. In any case I use the 1-0 result for Hodges.
