Notes: |
Di Felice's crosstable is internally consistent, but his total scorees for Menchik (6), Schenk (5) and Morry (2.5) do not reflect the crosstable, which would give 5, 5.5 and 3, respectively. Tanner's crosstable does reflect his total scores, which agree with Di Felices's. So the draws by Menchik against Schenk and Morry shown in Di Felice's crosstable should both be wins by Menchik, as shown by Tanner. In fact, her win over Schenk is given by Tanner (p.207). Di Felice and Tanner both have 'Holgar S. Schenk' here, Alan McGowan tells me that the British Chess Magazine of 1940 refers to 'Dr. Schenk', which indicates Hans Georg Schenk. |
