Notes: |
The Scotsman of 25 May 1901 (p.7) says that 9 players had entered, including Andrews and Lawson. The Scotsman of 18 May 1901 (p.7) says that 'A. Lawson' (in quotation marks, suggesting that it was a pseudonym) had retired and has 'G. Andrews' in quotation marks in the crosstable. The Falkirk Herald of 29 May 1901 (p.8) gives results to date without mentioning Andrews, but with results for 'A. Lawson' in quotation marks. Gaige and Di Felice Gaige and Di Felice both have A. Lawson in their crosstables, but not Andrews. |
