| According to the Book of the Counties' Chess Association (p.10), the result of the game between Miss Thorold and Stevenson was cancelled because it was 'not played at 12 o'clock on the Saturday morning' (8 Aug. 1885). No result for that game is recorded. Also, it says that Lewis lost some of his games by default ('resignation'), but there is no indication of how many or which games, so I leave them all as if played. |
