In Rivista scacchistic italiana (1900), Dubois has 'A. Egisti' on p.134, 'G. Antonio Egisti' on p.105, and 'S. Egisti' on p.216, which is likely a misprint. A footnote on p.105 mentions his brother Don Alessandro Egisti, the title 'Don' indicating a priest, who we must be careful to differentiate from Giovanni Antonio, especially since the latter seems to have preferred his second name and so 'A. Egisti' can also mean Antonio. In Eco della Scienza, dell'Industria e del Commercio (1864), Dubois distinguishes between 'Abate Egisti' (presumably Alessandro) and 'Egisti seniore', which probably means that Giovanni Antonio Egisti was older than his brother, Alessandro. In his memoirs, Dubois refers to Egisti as almost a nonagenarian. These memoires were written mostly in 1886 according to Zavatarelli in his biography of Dubois (p.7), so I guess at 1797 for his year of birth.
