Name: Andrews, G. (1)

Died:

Notes:
Saunders at BritBase suggets that this is a pseudonym for George Andrew Thomson, though without giving a source. The Scotsman of 28 May 1901 (p.7) has 'G. Andrews' in quotation marks in its partial crosstable for the 1901 Scottish Championship, suggesting that it was a pseudonym. However, there is some confusion here, because it also says that 'A. Lawson' (in quotation marks) had withdrawn, but other sources show that Lawson remained to the end, while Andrews dropped out of the crosstable. So the name in quotation marks in the crosstable was perhaps meant to be 'A. Lawson', and thus the suggestion that 'G. Andrews' was a pseudonym may have been unintended.
