Biographical data |
Name: Allcock, James Frederick |
Born: 16 Dec. 1860 |
Died: 1938 |
|
Notes: |
Full name and birth and death dates from UK census data, sent to me by Gerard Killoran. The British Chess Magazine of June 1896 (p.231) and the Sunday Times of 10 May 1896 (p.8) have 'F.J. Allcock', which I guess to be an error for 'J.F. Allcock'. The Bristol Mercury of 3 Sep. 1900 (p.5) has 'G.F. Allcock' at Bath 1900, but this is clearly an error since the Birmingham Daily Post of 18 Sep. 1900 has 'J.F. Allcock' at Bath 1900. |
