Event table notes

Event data
Name: 5th British Chess Federation Amateur Tourney 1A
Place: Tunbridge Wells
Start date: 10 Aug. 1908
End date: 22 Aug. 1908

Notes:
Gaige has 'F.S. Smith' and 'F. Fawcett' at this event, while Di Felice has 'Smith, Stephen Francis' and 'Fawcett, Edward Douglas'. I am guessing that Di Felice is correct here. There may have been an 'F.S. Smith', listed as a player for Oxford in 1901 (by Forster in his book on Burn), but Stephen Francis Smith played in many events in England at this time and seems more likely. Also, I am guesing that the 'E. Palmer' at this event listed by Gaige ('E.D. Palmer' according to Di Felice) is the 'Eddie Palmer' who played in Exeter in 1901-1903.
