| Notes: |
| Gaige, Di Felice and the Chess Player's Chronicle indicate that the Burn-Murray game was won by default, but Forster claims that it was not, citing the Birmingham Daily Gazette. Murray did default to Archdall and Gossip and the Murray-Halford game is scored as a default to both players in the Chess Player's Chronicle report. Also Skipworth defaulted to Thorold and Wayte. |
