Event table notes

Event data
Name: U.S.S.R. Republics Chamionship
Place: Leningrad
Start date: 12 Sep. 1948
End date: 22 Sep. 1948

Notes:
Each of the seven teams (Moscow, Leningrad, RSFSR, Ukraine, Lithuania, Georgia, Uzbekistan) played each other team on ten boards, but there was some use of reserve players, so the team for each republic varied somewhat from round to round, similar to the way Olympiads were organized. Airapetov forfeited to Mikenas. The results given by both Di Felice and Popovsky are inconsistent in one point, showing Chekhover, of the Leningrad team, playing against both Perevoznikov and Neelov of the Uzbekistan team. Olimpbase shows that it was Goldberg who played Neelov.
