| The Schachzeitung of Nov. 1865 has 'J. Asbeck' on p.322 as a member of the Rheinisch Congress committee, and 'J. Asbeck sen.' on p.323 as an opponent of Paulsen in a blindfold simultaneous exhibition at the congress, as well as a mention of 'Julius Asbeck, jun.' of Barmen on p.358 of the Dec. 1865 issue. Presumably, these are different players than Stephan Albert Emil Asbeck, but which played in the Elberfeld 1865 tournament? |
