Biographical data |
Name: Stapfer, John Homer |
Also known as: Staffer |
Born: 9 Feb. 1877 |
Died: 1959 |
|
Notes: |
The American Chess Bulletin of Feb. 1905 (p.36) has 'H. Stapfer'. The History of the New Jersey Chess Association has 'H. Stapfer' everywhere except on p.47 where it has 'J.H. Stapfer' in the 1904 New Jersey Championship. However, on p.26, it has 'H. Stapfer' as winner of the same 1904 event. So 'H. Stapfer' is 'J.H. Stapfer'. |
