Event table notes

Event data
Name: Metropolitan Club - Paterson Club Match
Place: Paterson
Start date: 20 Mar. 1897
End date: 20 Mar. 1897

Notes:
The identities of some players had to be guessed. I am guessing that 'Craig' (in the New York Sun, but 'Cragg' in the New York Evening Post) is William Craig, who played in the first round between these two clubs on 29 Jan. 1897. Davies guesses that 'Tinny' (in the New York Evening Post) or 'Touney' (in the New York Sun) was W.E. Tinney. The New York Sun has 'McFadden' where the New York Evening Post has 'McPhee'. This seems likely to be James McFadyen. 'Lissner' could be either J. Lissner or S. Lissner, both of New Jersey, but J. Lissner seemed to be more active in the mid 1890s, so I will guess that it was him.
