Alan McGowan sent me his date of birth (obtained from ancestry.com), and his full name, and the fact that he had a brother named Paul, possibly the Paul Richter who was known as a problem composer. According to McGowan, references to 'Richter-Halle' should be taken to refer to Bernhard Richter, as should 'Richter (Magdeburg) or references to Director Richter from Oels, or Olezsno.
