Event data |
Name: British Amateur Championship |
Place: London, England |
Start date: 25 Nov. 1889 |
End date: Nov. 1889 |
|
Notes: |
Di Felice has 'Gibbons, T.E.' at this event, but Winter (A Chess Omnibus, p.72) mentions a player named T.C. Gibbons in London in 1888, which I assume to be the correct name of the player at this event. Di Felice has 'Jones, Atherly' instead of 'Atherley-Jones'. Ending date uncertain, but Di Felice gives '25-? XI 1889'. |
