Start date: 27 Mar. 1860 |
End date: 27 Mar. 1860 |

Notes: |
This was a 7-a-side inter-club match, but the game between Kipping and Schüll seems to have been unfinished. I have identified the Manchester player 'Wood' as the 'J. Wood' who played in the Manchester club tournament, rather than Matthew Bateson Wood, who appeared to be more active in the Manchester club in the 1870s but was also present as early as 1856. I do not know if the Manchester player 'Hamel' was the 'L. Hamel' of Glasgow or another, local, player of that name. The Liverpool players named 'Smith' and 'Ashton' are hard to identify, since there were several players of those names in the Liverpool Club. |
