Notes:
I am supposing that 'Robert Steel' and 'Robert Steele' are alternate spellings but that the person is the same. There was also a Robert M. Steele, however, of Australia, who I presume to be a different person. Forster says Robert Steel was 64 when he died, which, given the birth year (1839) and death date given by Gaige, would mean he was born before 30 June.
