Notes:

Steve Mann gives year of birth as 1834-1835. La Grande Storia degli Scacchi and Di Felice both give 'C.G. Cutler' as the player at Leamington 1881 and Di Felice gives the same name at York 1868. However, it is clear from numerous items in the Illustrated London News and the Chess Player's Chronicle that the player at these events was G.O. Cutler, of Sheffield. C.G. Cutler was in 1881 a 4th-class player of the City of London Chess Club, also appearing in the Chess Player's Chronicle of that year.
