Biographical data
Name: Adams, Edward Bradford
Also known as: Rev. Edward Bradford Adams
Born: 28 July 1878
Died: 12 Jan. 1972

Notes:
Not to be confused with Edward Beckley Adams. According to Gaige, Edward Bradford Adams was born in Westport, Connecticut, attended Yale, and died in Pasadena, California. The Brooklyn Daily Eagle of 1 Nov. 1930 (p.10) mentions a 'Rev. Edward Bradford Adams' giving a sermon at a Brooklyn church. There are also mentions of 'Rev. Edward Bradford Adams' in the Brooklyn Daily Eagle in 1935. His page at chessgames.com associates him with the Marshall Club in New York in the 1920s and 1930s, and with Brooklyn in the 1930s. It was he who played in the New York State Chess Association events. The American Chess Bulletin of Sep.-Oct. 1917 (p.197) says that the captains of the Washington D.C. team and the San Diego team in a correspondence match were both named Edward B. Adams. It points out that the San Diego Edward B. Adams was a minister, and thus the Rev. Edward Bradford Adams.
