The Memphis Chess History web page has both 'Elliot' and 'Elliott'. The California Chess Tournaments web page has 'P. Elliott' at Los Angeles 1929, who I guess to be E.P. Elliott, as well as 'E.P. Elliott' playing in the North v South Califoria match in 1951. Skinner and Verhoeven (p.354) have 'E.P. Elliot', as does Urcan.
