Notes:
The Chess Player's Chronicle of 9 Aug. 1882 (p.382) and the Illustrated London News of 27 Mar. 1875 (p.307) have 'J.H.D. May'. The Illustrated London News of 15 Apr. 1876 (p.383) has 'T.H.T. May'. Sergeant has 'T.H.D. May' twice on p.344, but 'T.R.D. May' on p.345. I am guessing that 'T.H.D. May' is correct, as it appears most often.
