Notes:

There are two players named 'G.H. Taylor' listed as being present at the West Yorkshire Chess Association meeting at Leeds on 26 May 1866, one from Houghton-le-Spring (near Sunderland), the other from Sheffield. The one from Sheffield, however, may have been 'G.S. Taylor' who was listed as being from Sheffield in the 1864 event (Illustrated London News, 11 June 1864, p.579). Steve Mann gives date of birth as 1819-1820.
