Notes:

Gaige gives death in 1870 at age 57. His death was announced in the 28 Jan. 1871 issue of the Illustrated London News (p.91), so I presume he died late in 1870 and therefore was almost certainly born in 1813 (though it is just possible that he was born very late in 1812). The Illustrated London News of 4 Sept. 1858 (p.229) gives his name as 'Zacchary', as does the Report of the Manchester Meeting of 1857.
