Notes:
Most sources give his year of birth as 1794. An exception is the book by Kogan, which gives his birth date as 1 Feb. 1799. Recent evidence from church records show that his date of birth was actually 2 Feb. 1799 (see the Russian wikipedia page for Petrov), which in the Gregorian calendar is 13 Feb. 1799. Thanks to Geert van der Wulp for pointing this out to me.
