Notes:
Feenstra Kuiper has birth 14-02-1846; Gaige and Harding have birth 14-02-1845. Hooper and Whyld give birth year 1845 in their 1st edition, but '1845?' in their 2nd edition, giving a quote by Löwenthal indicating that he might have been born in 1848. Zavatarelli has 1845. The Chess Players' Chronicle of Apr. 1875 (p.251) gives date of birth as 14-02-1845. Steve Mann gives a definite 14-02-1846 from the birth certificate. Harding gives date of death as 8-02-1875; Gaige gives 9-02-1875, as does the Chess Players' Chronicle of Apr. 1875.
