| Burt (The Bristol Chess Club) says Kennedy died in 1879. The Illustrated London News of 9 Nov. 1878 gives his obituary. Gaige says he died 22-10-1878. An early obituary appeared in teh 19 June 1875 issue of the Field, but this was corrected in teh 26 June 1875 issue. Called 'Major Kennedy' in the Illustrated London News of 12 Apr. 1845 (p.233), but I haven't seen this elsewhere. |
